Effective: November 2, 2026
These terms sit on top of Apple's standard license for apps. Using Sundial means agreeing to both. Sundial is made by Jacob Cacheria.
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive people on Sundial. Anyone who posts it or acts that way is removed.
That covers anything you send, post, show on your page, or say in a comment, including your name. It means no harassment, threats or bullying, no hate, no sexual content involving anyone under 18, no sexual or violent content sent to people who did not ask for it, no pretending to be someone else, no spam, and nothing illegal.
You must be at least 13 to use Sundial.
You can block anyone. They can't follow you, ask to start an orbit, or open your page, and your one to one orbit with them ends. Their comments and reactions on golden hours you shared with stars are deleted. Solar systems you are both in are not touched, so what they wrote there stays.
You can report anyone's page, and a golden hour or comment shared with stars. Anyone in a chat can be reported from their page. A report sends what you can see of it to Jacob, who reads them, though when one person sends a flood of reports, not all of them are kept. Reports are acted on within 24 hours.
You can block or report someone from their page, and you can get to their page from any chat: hold their moon in a one to one chat and tap "their page", or hold a solar system for its page and tap their name.
Sundial also checks a few things on your phone. Comments under a golden hour shared with stars, and the name on your page, are checked against a small list of the worst words: slurs and the most extreme sexual or violent terms. A comment with one of them does not post, and a name with one shows as "someone" on your page. Nothing about that check is sent anywhere, and chats are not checked. If you have Sensitive Content Warning or Communication Safety on, your iPhone can cover a photo from a star until you tap it. None of this catches everything, which is why you can block and report.
Jacob can suspend an account. Their content in stars comes down: their page and link stop working, their photo is removed, their golden hours go from everyone's phones, and their waiting requests and asks, comments and reactions are deleted. They stop seeing who they follow, and they can't join or start any new chat or solar system. Chats they are already in keep working. Sundial may not tell them this has happened.
What you send is yours, and you are responsible for it. Sundial encrypts your messages and golden hours on your phone, so we can't read them unless someone who can see them reports them. The privacy policy says exactly what we can and can't see.
If these terms change, the effective date at the top changes with them, and the new version is posted here.
